Flight One’s commercial helicopter pilot licence diploma, is a full time scenario based course that covers all the theory and practical requirements toward becoming a commercial helicopter pilot. Available in Brisbane, training is conducted in conjunction with expert instructions provided by our authorised partner, V2 Heli. Flight training is provided on V2’s well maintained, modern helicopter fleet and includes a range of relevant options throughout the training journey. This course is VET Student Loans approved for domestic students. This programme is not available for international student enrolment.
The standalone Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopter) diploma is designed for domestic students pursuing a career in commercial rotary-wing operations. This program provides the essential skills and flight experience required to operate helicopters professionally in industries like tourism, emergency services, and aerial work.
Flight One’s flagship pilot training package combines the commercial pilot licence diploma, multi engine endorsement and instrument rating diploma into a powerful double Diploma of Aviation. We’ve integrated these programmes because it makes sense; it provides the best possible combination of skills and qualifications for employability whilst efficiently saving on time and cost. Training is conducted on our well maintained, modern fleet and includes a range of relevant options throughout the training journey.
This course is approved for VET Student Loans for eligible domestic students and receives full VSL coverage.
International students are welcome to apply for enrolment into this course.
This course is designed for individuals looking to study a full-time in-class pilot training programme that’s focused on delivering graduates ready for domestic & international airlines.

The standalone commercial pilot licence (CPL) diploma programme (as distinct from the professional pilot diploma package – which combines the CPL and Instrument Rating) is primarily suited to domestic students looking to move into industry marginally earlier, and tuition-fee conscious international students. Most students however, select the professional pilot diploma package.
The Flight One CASA Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) course is the perfect starting point for aspiring pilots, offering a streamlined pathway to take to the skies. Designed for beginners, this program focuses on practical flying skills, enabling students to pilot single-engine aircraft within 25 nautical miles of their departure airport, with optional endorsements for controlled airspace and navigation. With access to Flight One’s experienced instructors, modern training fleet, and scenario-based syllabus, students receive tailored instruction to build their confidence and competence. Start your aviation journey today and experience the thrill of flight with Flight One.
The RPL course is for anyone who wants to learn how to fly for fun or as the first step towards a career in aviation. It’s perfect for beginners who want to pilot small planes close to their home airport or expand their skills with extra training.
The Flight One CASA Private Pilot Licence (PPL) program is designed for individuals who want the freedom to command or co-pilot light aircraft for private use. With expert training from our Part 141 approved instructors, you’ll gain the skills to meet CASA requirements, including 40 hours of flying experience, solo and cross-country flights, and basic instrument flying for aeroplanes. Our program blends theoretical knowledge, including air law, navigation, and flight planning, with practical experience, ensuring you’re fully prepared for the PPL theory exam and flight test. Whether you’re flying recreationally or using your PPL as a stepping stone to advanced training, Flight One equips you with the expertise and confidence to take to the skies.
The Private Pilot Licence (PPL) course is for people who want to fly light aircraft for personal use and longer trips, including cross-country flights. It’s a step up from the Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) because it allows you to fly further, carry more passengers, and operate in more types of airspace. Unlike the Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), this course is ideal for those who don’t plan to fly professionally but want more freedom and capabilities as a private pilot.
The Flight One CASA Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) course is perfect for students who want to take the next step toward becoming a professional pilot at their own pace. Whether you’re self-funded or managing other commitments, Flight One offers flexible training options to fit your schedule. With expert instructors, modern aircraft, and a clear, practical approach to learning, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to fly commercially. Flight One’s tailored support ensures you can progress at your own speed while getting high-quality training to achieve your aviation career goals.
A Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) allows you to work as a professional pilot, getting paid to fly in roles like charter operations, flight instruction, or airline services. Unlike a Private Pilot Licence (PPL), which is designed for personal or recreational flying, a CPL equips you with the advanced skills and qualifications needed to operate in commercial aviation. With a CPL, you can fly larger and more complex aircraft, carry passengers or cargo for hire, and access more job opportunities in the aviation industry. It’s the essential next step if you’re aiming for a career as a pilot.
The Flight One CPL course is for people who want to become commercial pilots and are paying for their training themselves. It’s different from the PPL because it prepares you to fly professionally and get paid for it, while the PPL is for personal or recreational flying. Unlike the Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence), which is for students needing VET student loans or a student visa, the CPL course is ideal for self-funded, self-paced learners who want flexibility and aren’t reliant on government funding or visa requirements.
Flight One’s CASA Instrument Rating course is designed to equip pilots with the skills necessary to operate aircraft under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), enabling safe flight in various weather conditions and reduced visibility. The program includes comprehensive ground school theory classes to prepare for the Instrument Rating exam (IREX), as well as practical training using Flight One’s modern fleet and CASA-certified Alsim flight simulator. The course also optionally integrates a multi-engine class rating, providing valuable experience and expanding career opportunities in charter work, flight instructing, medical services, and emergency operations.
The Flight One CASA Instrument Rating course is for pilots who want to fly in a wider range of weather conditions and under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). It’s ideal for those looking to advance their skills, expand their career opportunities, or prepare for commercial operations.
CAPS training is designed for every Cirrus pilot. In this course you’ll walk through a complete CAPS deployment, starting with your decision to pull the CAPS handle, exploring every step along the way. You’ll hear from people who’ve actually used CAPS, and we’ll ask you to think about some tough questions — putting you in their shoes and forcing you to think about how you’d respond. As you follow the deployment process, you’ll dig into the system components that actually make CAPS work. Finally, you’ll review strategies for keeping CAPS involved in your decision-making process, leveraging lessons learned from within the Cirrus community — from owners, pilots, Cirrus factory test pilots, and CSIPs. The objective is pretty straightforward — provide you with complete CAPS training, so you’ll have a renewed sense of confidence to deploy CAPS, should you need it.
