Industry-Leading Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) Training

Our 200-hour CPL program exceeds industry standards, providing an additional 50 flight hours compared to standard 150-hour programs. Students train on a diverse fleet, including parachute-equipped Cirrus aircraft and Piper Seminoles for multi-engine training. Flight One instructors are handpicked from airlines and commercial operations, ensuring that every lesson reflects real-world airline standards. Our rigorous, scenario-based syllabus prepares students for commercial and airline operations, setting them apart in a competitive industry.

Maximise your employability by adding the Instrument Rating Diploma to your CPL training. This program includes multi-engine training in our new Piper Seminoles and advanced instrument navigation training, essential for airline careers. CASA Class 1 Medical Requirement

Get Your Medical Clearance Before You Arrive.

All students enrolling in Flight One’s Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) program must provide a Doctor’s Medical Clearance Letter before enrolment can be confirmed. Once in Australia, students are required to undertake the full aviation medical examination with a CASA-approved Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) and gain a Class 1 Medical Certificate from CASA.

There are also CASA-approved Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME)s in multiple countries around the world. It is ideal if you can undertake your CASA medical before coming to Australia. Click below to use CASA’s website to check if there is an approved doctor in your region.

How to Apply

Simple International Student Application Process with Pilot Aptitude Testing.

Applying to Flight One’s Professional Pilot Program is a straightforward three-step process. First, complete an online application form to verify eligibility. Next, candidates must sit the internationally recognised ADAPT Pilot Aptitude Test, assessing cognitive ability, decision-making, and flight suitability.

Successful applicants will then attend an interview with our senior training team to ensure alignment with our training and safety standards. Once accepted, students can secure their place and begin their journey towards a professional aviation career.

To train at Flight One, international students need a Student Visa (subclass 500). Once you receive your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE), you can apply through the Australian Government website. The Australian government offers a guide to help you through the process.

Accommodation & Transport

Brisbane is an internationally popular study destination for both international and domestic students which makes accommodation tight at times. But with close proximity to universities and the downtown area, students usually have a range of options from student apartments and share houses to serviced homestays. Archerfield is adequately serviced by public transport with access to nearby bus and train stations.
